2024 Community Listening Sessions
Registration Now Open!

Each year, the Minnesota Department of Education’s Division of Special Education hosts listening sessions to get feedback from community members about Minnesota’s Part B Annual Performance Report. The report, or APR, is sent to the federal Office of Special Education Programs each February and describes Minnesota’s progress in educating students with disabilities.

Like last year, this year’s sessions will be virtual, and two sessions – an afternoon and evening – will be held on each topic. And as was done last year, participants will have an opportunity to get an update on Minnesota’s progress for each indicator and to share their thoughts about ways MDE can support districts to improve outcomes for our students with disabilities. This year, the listening sessions will focus on topics that would benefit from additional feedback from the community.

Below is a list of the sessions that will be held. You can register for sessions by selecting the link in the table. During registration, you will be asked to share your name and email address and request accommodations to support your participation in the session or sessions.
